Grace Community EFC, strategically located in Southwest Minnesota on Interstate 90, is seeking a new lead pastor to continue our mission “to Know Christ, to Become like Him, and to Make Him known among All Nations.” After almost 15 years of faithful service, our lead pastor was called to the EFCA national office to lead pastors nationally.

We are looking for a man whose teachings will bring the Word of God to life and relate on a personal level with our church body and community. We also seek someone who helps us grow a stronger church culture, reflects our core values, and puts them into action. We desire a man who would model for us the balance between home and work, placing his walk with God in the forefront.

We are looking for a leader with knowledge, experience, and giftedness to:

  • Reach hearts through effective communication about how God’s truth applies to life and preaching based on a strong biblical context

  • Activate our people to participate in the mission of the church

  • Guide our ministries to encourage personal transformation, spiritual growth, and Christlikeness

  • Develop staff and guide leadership toward continued growth, capability, and effectiveness for serving

  • Lead the church into engagement with the communities around us and encourage local outreach

  • Integrate our multi-cultural community, work competently with many different cultures, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity

  • Ability to identify and deal with issues objectively and promptly

Key Qualifications

  • Six years (desired) of multi-staff experience in a pastoral leadership position

  • Demonstrated competence in preaching

  • A Master of Divinity from a respected evangelical educational institution (preferred) in keeping with the EFCA theology

  • Ordination in the Evangelical Free Church of America within 5-7 years (as a condition of employment)

  • A man in a stable and loving marriage

  • Meets biblical standards for personal character and moral integrity with a willingness to undergo ongoing accountability

  • Inspires our church in contemporary, multi-cultural worship

  • Bilingual is strongly preferred, but not required
